After a successful experiment with StarTime, this animation for Experimental Media embraced more realtime graphics rendering techniques.
The main differences are that multiple scenes were used, I allowed myself to do very minor editing, and the audio was recorded in realtime too with the Mouth Crust Engine.
Each scene was made in to a separate Blender scene within a single file. Keyboard commands were then bound to every animation playback along the q-w-e-r-t-y-u-i-o row. The P key was reserved for cutting to the next scene. The edit was recorded in real time, and later tweaked to add crossfades.
Cubes was featured in the 2009 Multimedia Arts + Sciences Annual Jurried Student Show.
