StarTime

StarTime was a concept evening variant on TeaTime. This was the one and only video made for it.
The process of making this particular video was very irregular. The most exciting aspect of real-time 3D graphics is taking advantage of interactivity, modularity, and the ability to see results instantaneously.
First, I mapped the QWERTY keys in Blender to emit "TeaTime" in different sizes and metal materials.

Second, I played the song "startime" while recording keystrokes in to Fruityloops as notes one instrument at a time. Those notes were cleaned up to best match the audio.
Third, I set the instrument in FL to a MIDI out, and selected a virtual MIDI channel called "MIDI Yoke"

Fourth, I used MIDIox to map the output MIDI Yoke #2 right back out again to input MIDI Yoke #1

Fifth, I used GlovePIE to map the MIDI input signals for each individual note to keystrokes: QWERT.

Sixth, I started up the Blender Game engine, and began recording the OpenGL buffers with Fraps.
I pressed "play" in Fruityloops, which essentially became a machine that triggered the actions in time with the music in realtime.
